This video describes the effect of catalyst on rate of a chemical reaction and an important section of chemical kinetics that is arrhenius equation, from which activation energy can be calculated. I have shown the energy profile diagrams or the reaction coordination vs energy graphs to show how the catalysts affect the rate of the reaction. catalysts are substances that increases the rate of the reactions without undergoing any change in amount and chemical composition. Its very important to know about the catalysts that they dont alter the equllibrium point and they dont affect the gibbs free energy. Then arrehenius equation is one of the most important equation in chemical kinetics from which alots of questions are comming in NEET, JEE, JAM etc. So I have explained the equation in details and derived the integrated arrehenius equation. when there will be given two temperatures and their corresponding rate constants you can find the activation energy by using the integrated rate equation.
